Cision Scandinavia is celยญebยญratยญing its 10th anniversary of the Cision PR Influencer Award.
And I had the pleasยญure of being nomยญinยญated for the 10th time.
Here we go:
The Cision PR Influencer Award
Iโve had the honยญour and pleasยญure of being nomยญinยญated by Cision Scandinavia in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019โโโand now also in 2020 for the Cision PR Influencer Award.
I would lie if I said I wasnโt slightly pleased with myself for being nomยญinยญated for a decade.
As folยญlows, I pride myself on being someยญwhat conยญsistยญent, espeยญcially since this blog, Doctor Spin, has been the centยญral hub for online sharยญing since the start of my career. Online influยญence has nevยญer been the goal but rather a side-effect of sharยญing my pasยญsion for pubยญlic relations.
Since I won in 2016, I have kept my finยญgers crossed for John Mellqvist, a seniยญor conยญsultยญant and futurยญist at Techposition. There are many great comยญmuยญnicยญatยญors among the nomยญinยญees, but Iโm incredยญibly impressed by Johnโs work:

Stupid Majority + Smart Minority = PR Success
What do these conยญcepts mean?
Stupid majorยญity = a majorยญity of today that will steadยญily decline into a minorยญity of tomorrow.
Smart minorยญity = a minorยญity of today that will grow into a new majorยญity of tomorrow.
So, what do you have to do exactly?
Identify your Stupid Majority. For example, in my niche, the pubยญlic relaยญtions industry, there are plenty:
And so on.
There are plenty of Stupid Majorities (and corยญresยญpondยญing Smart Minorities) everyยญwhereโโโas long as youโre willยญing to scratch the surยญface. You must brainยญstorm and proยญduce a list for your niche or industry to get started.
Once you start gainยญing tracยญtion, rememยญber that not everyยญone will love you. Thereโs the paraยญdox of promยญinยญence and the Norman axiom.
